Quality Systems & Operational Excellence. A practitioner with more than 25 years of experience spanning manufacturing, quality systems, production leadership, process improvement and organizational management systems.

His career has given him experience from both sides of quality: building the systems and running the operations those systems are supposed to support. That distinction shapes his approach today.
Over the course of his career, William has contributed his expertise in manufacturing, quality management, operational improvement and organizational systems across private-sector, public-sector and international environments, including work with organizations such as Coca-Cola, the Government of Canada and the United Nations.
That breadth of experience has given him a perspective that extends beyond any single industry or management-system environment - while keeping his approach firmly grounded in practical implementation.
He is fully bilingual (English/French) with extensive experience preparing executive-ready reports, recommendations and decision-support materials for senior leadership.
William's philosophy is grounded in practical implementation. A management system should not exist primarily to satisfy an auditor. It should help an organization understand requirements, clarify responsibilities, manage its processes, prevent problems, make better decisions and continually improve how work is performed.
Documentation matters. Evidence matters. Certification matters when it is a business objective. But none of them substitutes for a system that actually works.

William's career has included production and quality leadership in manufacturing environments, quality improvement responsibilities across multiple operations, management-system responsibilities, and senior operational leadership in Africa and Canada.
Earlier in his career, he served in production and quality leadership roles in a major consumer-products manufacturing environment, where his responsibilities included 24-hour production operations, Quality Management System maintenance, process improvement and leadership of production teams.
He later worked across multiple bottling operations, helping plants strengthen quality systems and prepare for certification. His experience includes supporting plants that subsequently achieved certification respectively to ISO 9001, HACCP and ISO 22000.
In Canada, William's work has included Quality Management System leadership and broader operational leadership.
Across these environments, he repeatedly encountered the same reality:
The difficult part of quality management is rarely knowing that a requirement exists. The difficult part is turning requirements into something people can consistently do.
Small and growing manufacturers are often expected to develop increasingly sophisticated quality systems without having large internal quality departments.
Sometimes the responsibility lands with an experienced Quality Manager. Sometimes it lands with Operations. Sometimes an employee simply becomes the person responsible for "getting us ISO certified."
They need more than templates. They need a way to think through the work.
William created QMS Made Real™ to provide that structure. Its Five-Stage QMS Method™ reflects the sequence he believes makes practical sense:
KNOW → BUILD → IMPLEMENT → PROVE → PREPARE
Understand before you document. Build what the organization actually needs. Turn the system into behaviour. Create evidence that it works. Then validate readiness.

It is the smallest effective system your organization can consistently operate, demonstrate and improve.
That principle sits at the centre of WICHPER and QMS Made Real™.
